LVDT displacement position sensor in steam turbine: TDZ-1E series

LVDT displacement position sensor in steam turbine: TDZ-1E series

The turbine control valve displacement sensor is a displacement sensor that measures the opening or closing status of the turbine control valve. Its main function is to measure the position change of the regulating valve to control the load, temperature and other parameters of the steam turbine.

Composition of TDZ -1E series lvdt sensor

The structure and working principle of the sensor may vary depending on the type and manufacturer of the sensor, but it usually includes the following three components.
First, sensor body: usually composed of sensor shell, sensor and connector. The shell is the protective shell of the sensor, the sensor is the core component to measure the displacement change, and the connector is the interface between the sensor and the turbine control system.
Second, inductor: usually composed of iron core, coil and guide rail. When the displacement of the regulating valve changes, the iron core will move with the movement of the valve, then it can change the magnetic flux in the coil. The sensor calculates the displacement of the valve by detecting the electrical signal change in the coil.
Third, connector: used to connect the sensor with the turbine control system. This connector may be a plug, socket or other type of connector, and its form and material may also vary depending on the sensor type and manufacturer.

TDZ-1E series displacement sensor of the steam turbine control valve is generally installed on the connecting rod of the control valve. The opening of the control valve is determined by measuring the displacement change of the connecting rod through the sensor. The sensor compares the collected data with the preset control parameters to control the operating speed, load, temperature and other parameters of the turbine to ensure the safe and stable operation of the turbine.

Classification of TDZ-1E series steam turbine displacement sensor application

The TDZ-1E series displacement sensor on the steam turbine is usually used to measure the displacement of key components to monitor the operation status of the steam turbine and realize its control. Common turbine displacement sensor applications include turbine bearing displacement sensor, turbine rotor displacement sensor, turbine blade displacement sensor and turbine control valve displacement sensor.
1. Turbine bearing displacement sensor: measure the radial and axial displacement of turbine rotor bearing to monitor the vibration of rotor and prevent mechanical fatigue, damage and other problems caused by vibration.
2. Turbine rotor displacement sensor: measure the radial and axial displacement of the turbine rotor to monitor the vibration and eccentricity of the rotor and prevent the rotor from collision, seizure and other faults.
3. Turbine blade displacement sensor: measure the displacement and deformation of the turbine blade to monitor the fatigue damage and deformation of the blade, warn the risk of blade failure in advance, and ensure the safe operation of the turbine.
4. Turbine regulating valve displacement sensor: measure the opening and closing status of the turbine regulating valve to control the operating speed, load, temperature and other parameters of the turbine.
These displacement sensors are generally installed at key parts of the steam turbine, such as bearing bracket, blade root, regulating valve piston, etc., to ensure accurate measurement and monitoring of measured displacement changes.

Procedure for detecting valve displacement using TDZ-1E-44 turbine displacement sensor

To use the TDZ-1E-44 displacement sensor to detect the valve displacement, the use steps are roughly the same as those of ordinary displacement sensors, and the technical transformation needs four steps.
First of all, the most important thing is to install the sensor correctly. Install the displacement sensor on the valve to ensure that the sensor and the valve can be in close contact, and the measuring range of the sensor covers the complete displacement range of the valve.
Then, connect the sensor and connect the sensor with the data acquisition device, such as the data acquisition card or PLC.
Third, calibrate the sensor: calibrate the sensor to ensure that it can accurately measure the valve displacement. The specific calibration method varies according to the sensor model and manufacturer. You can refer to the sensor manual for operation.
Finally, the TDZ-1E-44 displacement sensor of the steam turbine is measured, and the output signal of the sensor is read by the data acquisition equipment and converted into the displacement of the valve. The computer can be used for data analysis and processing to further understand the operation status of the valve.

TDZ-1E LVDT

Different types of valves may need to use different types of displacement sensors for measurement, so the selection of displacement sensors on the steam turbine needs to be based on the specific application needs of the steam turbine. At the same time, in order to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results, it is necessary not only to achieve the correct use steps, but also to carry out regular maintenance and calibration of the sensor in order to extend the service life and accuracy of the displacement sensor.
