What Is the Electrode 2401B Used for Generator Stator Cooling Water?

The conductivity electrode 2401B is a specialized instrument used for measuring the conductivity of fluids, suitable for measuring the conductivity of generator stator cooling water in power plants. It consists of an electrode and a conductivity measurement system.

Specifically, the working principle of the conductivity electrode 2401B is based on the relationship between the conductivity of the fluid and the content of dissolved solids. When the electrode comes into contact with the fluid, a weak electric current is generated on the electrode. By measuring the intensity of this current, the conductivity of the fluid can be determined.

The material of this electrode is highly corrosion-resistant to withstand the chemicals and pollutants in the cooling water. It is used in conjunction with a conductivity meter 2402B in the system to measure and display conductivity values.

When using the conductivity electrode 2401B, it needs to be immersed in the generator stator cooling water, ensuring full contact between the electrode and the water, and attention should be paid to maintaining the cleanliness of the electrode and good grounding. The measurement results can be obtained through the display screen or interface output of the measurement system.
