Function of the Core of LVDT Position Sensor HTD-150-6

For the LVDT displacement sensor HTD-150-6, its core is a key component. As a sensor to measure displacement based on the electromagnetic induction principle, the iron core plays a role in transmitting the magnetic field and affects the induced voltage. Specifically, in the displacement sensor, the iron core is connected to the primary coil and the secondary coil, so that the magnetic field in the primary coil can affect the secondary coil. As a part of the magnetic circuit, the iron core can guide the magnetic field line through the coil, so as to improve the magnetic induction strength of the coil.

Specifically, during the measurement of the displacement sensor HTD-150-6, the movement of the core relative to the primary and secondary coils changes the relative position of the coils and thus the distribution of the magnetic field. The induced voltage in the secondary coil changes accordingly and this change can be detected and converted into a displacement signal.

The secondary coil of the displacement sensor is differential connected. When the iron core moves, the induced voltage of the two secondary coils changes, and their difference is the AC voltage with the same frequency as the excitation signal. This differential output can reduce common mode interference and improve measurement accuracy.

Since the core directly affects the sensitivity and linear range of the sensor HTD-150-6, its material quality is critical to the performance and reliability of the sensor. The core of the displacement sensor is generally made of soft magnetic materials, which have high permeability and low coercive force, so that the core can be easily magnetized and demagnetized. The core material needs to be able to withstand the operating temperature range of the sensor, i.e. – 20 ° C to 120 ° C. Within this temperature range, the magnetic conductivity of the iron core will not change significantly, which ensures the stable performance of the sensor under different temperatures.

The material and structure of the iron core usually have good durability and environmental resistance, which can resist such harsh conditions as vibration, impact, humidity and corrosion, so as to ensure that the displacement sensor can work reliably in various environments.
