Introducing the generator surface Sealant HEC750-2

Introducing the generator surface Sealant HEC750-2

The surface Sealant HEC750-2 is applied to the generator end cover, mainly to form a sealing layer between the generator end cover and the casing to prevent hydrogen leakage. During the operation of the generator, under high temperature and high pressure environments, chemical reactions may occur between the windings and insulation materials inside the generator, producing hydrogen gas. If hydrogen leaks outside the casing, it will cause serious harm to the environment and equipment.

Characteristics of surface Sealant HEC750-2

The use of surface Sealant HEC750-2 can effectively prevent hydrogen leakage and improve the safety and stability of the generator. Sealant can also prevent moisture and other impurities from entering the interior of the generator, protecting the windings and insulation materials of the motor from damage. Therefore, the correct selection and use of end cover hydrogen sealing sealant can improve the reliability and durability of the generator.

The combination of surface Sealant HEC750-2 and groove sealant HDJ892 provides excellent gap sealing effect. For some aging and low-quality sealing gaskets, it has the effect of penetrating sealing and quickly following the shape of the sealing. During unit maintenance, the residue of the sealant is also easy to clean.

Usage of surface Sealant HEC750-2:

The generator hydrogen cooler is installed inside the hydrogen cooler cover, and a sealing gasket is used to seal between the cooler and the cover. The sealing gasket will be evenly coated with a layer of 750-2 sealant on both sides during installation.

Working principle of surface Sealant HEC750-2

The surface Sealant HEC750-2 was initially applied in liquid form on one surface of the flange connection. When assembling parts, the sealing material is formed on site and flows into the gaps of dents and scratches, achieving 100% contact between metals. Under hypoxic conditions, under the action of metal ions, after a period of time, a permanent sealing ring is formed after solidification. The extruded part, due to being exposed to air and not solidified, can be easily removed.
