Maintenance of GS061600V Solenoid Valve in Steam Turbine AST System

Maintenance of GS061600V Solenoid Valve in Steam Turbine AST System

The GS061600V solenoid valve is an important part of the AST automatic shutdown and interruption module. Its normal operation has a direct impact on the stable operation of the system. GS061600V solenoid valve is mainly composed of electromagnet, valve body, valve core, etc. The electromagnet generates a magnetic field and drives the valve core to move, thereby opening and closing the valve. The valve body is the bracket of the solenoid valve, which is used to fix and protect the internal parts. The valve core is the part that connects the valve body and the electromagnet, and its movement controls the flow of fluid.

The GS061600V solenoid valve is built using the magnetic field surrounding the wire. The electromagnet is wound in a spiral shape to strengthen the magnetic field, thereby achieving a higher magnetic field strength in a smaller space. When the power is turned on, the electromagnet generates a magnetic field, which attracts the valve core to move, thereby opening the valve; when the power is turned off, the electromagnet loses the magnetic field, and the valve core returns to its original position under the action of the spring force, closing the valve.

Common faults and troubleshooting methods of GS061600V solenoid valve

1. The solenoid valve does not operate

Fault: The solenoid valve cannot be opened or closed.

Troubleshooting method: Check whether the solenoid valve joint is loose or whether the thread is loose. If there is looseness or loose thread, tighten the joint and thread.

2. The solenoid valve coil is burned out

Fault: The solenoid valve cannot be energized normally, and the resistance value is infinite.

Troubleshooting method: Remove the wiring of the solenoid valve and measure the coil resistance with a multimeter. If the resistance value is infinite, the coil is burned out. The reason may be that the coil is damp and poor insulation leads to magnetic leakage, which causes current in the coil and causes burnout. Therefore, prevent rainwater from entering the solenoid valve.

3. The solenoid valve is stuck

Fault: The valve core cannot move, causing the valve to be unable to open or close.

Troubleshooting method: Insert the steel wire through the small hole in the head and try to rebound the valve core. If it cannot rebound, it may be that the gap between the valve core sleeve and the valve core is too small, or that mechanical impurities and too little lubricating oil have entered. At this time, it is necessary to remove impurities or lubricate the valve core to restore its normal movement.
