Steam turbine generator groove sealant is a special sealant used for steam turbine generator stator groove sealing. Turbine generator stator slot sealant is a two-component, epoxy resin-based adhesive, which is suitable for filling the stator slot gap of various specifications of turbine generator, and can effectively prevent water, dirt and other impurities from entering the generator to ensure the normal operation of the generator. It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, good weather resistance, strong water resistance, good chemical corrosion resistance and no flowing. The sealant can seal the stator slot gap of the generator without removing the generator, which is convenient and fast. At the same time, it can reduce the energy loss caused by slot gap leakage and improve the efficiency of the generator.
Function of generator end cover groove sealant
The function of the generator end cover groove sealant is to seal the groove on the generator end cover to ensure that the gas, liquid and dust in the machine will not enter the machine, prevent the corrosion, pollution and damage to the machine parts and insulation materials, and thus protect the normal operation of the generator. In addition, the end cover groove sealant can also effectively prevent the leakage of lubricating oil.
Application method of generator groove sealant
Generator slot sealant is a special glue used for sealing the slot of generator stator winding. Its use method is generally as follows:
Preparation: clean the notch to remove dirt and moisture. If necessary, sand the notch to remove the residue.
Mixing: pour the sealant coating into a clean container, and mix it evenly with special tools to ensure that all components in the coating are mixed evenly.
Application: Apply sealant to the groove surface with brush, roller or spray gun and other coating tools. If it is necessary to apply sealant on the groove bottom or side wall, special coating tool or needle barrel shall be used.
Curing: After the sealant is applied, it needs to wait for a certain time to cure naturally. The specific curing time shall be determined according to the performance parameters and environmental conditions of the sealant.
Completion: After the sealant is cured, check the sealing effect and carry out necessary cleaning work.
The following methods are usually adopted for the end cover sealing of steam turbine generator:
1. Gasket sealing method: add metal gasket between the end cover and the generator housing, and press the end cover and the housing tightly through fastening bolts to achieve sealing. This method is simple and easy to operate, but it is easy to leak, and it requires frequent inspection and replacement of gaskets.
2. Coating sealing method: Apply sealing materials, such as sealant, rubber or polymer, on the contact surface between the end cover and the shell to fill the tiny gap between the end cover and the shell to form a seal. This method has high reliability, but requires professional sealing materials and coating process.
3. Mechanical seal method: mechanical seals, such as O-ring, U-ring, V-ring or mechanical seal, are set between the end cover and the shell to realize the sealing of the end cover and the shell through its elastic deformation or static pressure. This method is applicable to high-speed rotating equipment and has good sealing effect, but it requires frequent inspection and replacement of seals.
4. Welding sealing method: weld the end cover and shell together directly, and seal the end cover and shell through welding joints. This method has the best sealing effect, but it requires professional welding process and inspection, and is not suitable for equipment that needs frequent disassembly and maintenance.
