Installation Points and Precautions for LVDT Position Sensor ZDET200B

In modern industrial control and automation systems, LVDT position sensor ZDET200B play a crucial role. It can accurately measure the displacement of objects and convert this physical quantity into electrical signals, thereby achieving monitoring and control of the position of objects. However, the correct installation of displacement sensors is the foundation for ensuring their normal operation and accurate measurement. Here are some important precautions for installing displacement sensors.

LVDT Position Sensor ZDET200B

Firstly, before installing the displacement sensor ZDET200B, users should avoid disassembling or modifying the sensor without authorization, including tearing off the trademark, machining on the shaft and housing, loosening screws, and rotating the position of the fastening ring. These unnecessary operations may affect the performance and lifespan of the sensor. Meanwhile, during the installation process, it should be handled with care to avoid damaging the lead out end and ensure the integrity of the sensor.

Secondly, when the ZDET200B LVDT sensor is powered on, attention should be paid not to use the resistance or current range of a multimeter to measure the potentiometer voltage, in order to avoid damage to the sensor. In addition, if the iron core has been used for a long time and the seal has aged, mixed with many impurities, water mixture, and oil, it can seriously affect the contact resistance of the brush, which may cause the displayed numbers to jump continuously. In this case, the iron core should be replaced to ensure the accuracy and stability of the sensor.

When installing the follow-up shaft of the ZDET200B displacement sensor, attention should be paid to keeping the axis line in a straight line (including the working state). If there is any deviation, it is recommended to use adapters such as universal joints or corrugated pipes to prevent the potentiometer output shaft from bending and deforming, damaging other components, and affecting normal use. At the same time, when connecting the line, it is necessary to strictly follow the schematic diagram on the sensor to ensure that the connection is correct and error free.

If the displacement sensor displays data that jumps regularly during operation, or if there is a short circuit to ground when there is no data displayed, it is necessary to check whether the insulation of the connecting wire is damaged and in contact with the outer shell of the machine. In addition, the power supply voltage needs to be stable, and the industrial voltage should meet a stability of ± 0.1%. For example, if the reference voltage is 10V, a fluctuation of ± 0.01V is allowed. If the fluctuation exceeds this range, it may cause fluctuations in the display.

When installing a linear displacement sensor ZDET200B, good alignment is required, with a tolerance of ± 0.5mm for parallelism and ± 12 ° for angle. If the parallelism error and angle error are both too large, it may cause the displayed numbers to jump and require adjustment. During the connection process, be careful not to connect the three wires incorrectly, and the power and output wires cannot be swapped. If connected incorrectly, it may lead to significant linear errors, difficulty in control, poor accuracy, and easy display jumping.

In summary, the installation of displacement sensors needs to strictly follow the manufacturer’s guidance and installation requirements to ensure the performance of the sensors and the accuracy of measurement results. During the installation process, pay attention to details, avoid unnecessary disassembly and modification, and ensure the safe and stable operation of the sensor. Through proper installation and maintenance, displacement sensors will provide accurate and stable position measurement data for industrial control systems, contributing to the automation industry.
