How to Apply the Room Temperature Epoxy Adhesive 841?

Room temperature cured epoxy adhesive 841 is a two component epoxy glue of grade F heat reasistance, with excellent insulation performance and good adhesion. It is mainly used for insulation of generator or motor stator bar joints and connecting wires to ground. It is used in conjunction with mica tapes by the following method:

  • Ensure that the surface of the stator bar is clean, dry, and smooth. Remove surface oil, impurities, and dust to ensure that epoxy adhesive 841 can firmly adhere to the mica tape.Generator stator bars insulation
  • Mix the A and B components of two parts epoxy glue 841 together according to the ratio, and immediately stir for more than 5 minutes until uniform. Note that the prepared 841 epoxy adhesive should be used up within 2 hours, and may be shorter in summer. Therefore, an appropriate amount should be prepared each time.Room Temperature Epoxy Adhesive 841
  • Use tools such as a brush, roller, or spray to evenly apply epoxy adhesive 841 onto the mica tape, ensuring that each layer of mica tape can be coated. Pay attention to controlling the thickness of the adhesive layer applied, and avoid applying too thick or too thin to avoid affecting the performance of the adhesive layer. During the process, be careful of bubbles and impurities. A rubber scraper or roller can be used to help smooth the coating and ensure that there are no gaps.Generator stator bars insulation
  • The curing rate and film forming performance of room temperature cured epoxy adhesive 841 are usually affected by temperature, and it usually takes 24 hours to cure at temperatures above 20 ℃. In order to achieve better electrical insulation performance, it can be baked at 60 to 80 ℃ for about 8 hours. When the ambient temperature is below 20 ℃, it is recommended to perform baking treatment before use, with a baking temperature of 30 to 40 ℃ and a holding time of 2 to 4 hours.

Yoyik Special Reminder: This epoxy adhesive is flammable and should be protected from fire during storage and use.
