How Does Temperature Affect theDisplacement Sensor TDZ-1-02?

The working temperature range of LVDT displacement sensor TDZ-1-02 is usually -40 ℃ to 150 ℃. Within this range, the sensor can operate normally and provide accurate displacement measurement. However, if the ambient temperature exceeds the operating temperature range of the TDZ-1-02 sensor, it will have some impact on the sensor, as follows:

  • Sensitivity change: Changes in environmental temperature can cause a change in the sensitivity of the TDZ-1-02 sensor. In general, the sensitivity of a sensor is relatively stable within its operating temperature range. But when the ambient temperature is too high or too low, the sensitivity of the sensor may shift, leading to inaccurate measurement results.
  • Linearity affected: The linearity of LVDT sensor TDZ-1-02 refers to the linear relationship between input displacement and output electrical signal. At ambient temperatures outside the operating temperature range, the linearity of the sensor may deteriorate, leading to an increase in the deviation between the output signal and the actual displacement.
  • Mechanical deformation: the change of ambient temperature may also lead to Thermal expansion of the internal structure or external materials of the sensor TDZ-1-02, thus causing mechanical deformation. This mechanical deformation may affect the zero setting, sensitivity, and linearity of the sensor, thereby affecting the accuracy of displacement measurement.
  • Component aging: Excessive or low ambient temperature may accelerate the aging of internal components of displacement sensor TDZ-1-02, such as wires, insulation materials, etc. This may lead to changes in electrical performance, and even affect the lifespan and reliability of sensors.

Therefore, in order to ensure the normal operation and accurate measurement of the LVDT displacement sensor TDZ-1-02, it should be used within the working temperature range of the sensor and avoid exposure to high or low ambient temperatures. If there are special requirements or the ambient temperature exceeds the operating temperature range of the sensor, it may be necessary to use a special model of sensor with a higher operating temperature range.
