How Does the Float Level Meter UHC-517C Measure Liquid Level?

UHC-517C magnetic float level gauge is an industrial level measuring instrument that uses a magnetic float to move with changes in liquid level and displays the level height through a magnetic flip plate indicator. Its simple structure, intuitive reading, and convenient maintenance are widely used in various industrial fields.

The customization level of UHC-517C level gauge is very high. Its standard measurement length range is 300mm to 1000mm. If a longer measurement length is required, it can be customized according to the requirements. The standard material for this level gauge is 304 stainless steel, but 316 stainless steel or PTFE lined material can also be selected according to needs. Liquid level switches and transmitters can also be optionally equipped to achieve upper and lower limit alarm and control of liquid level, remote transmission, indication and recording functions.

The working principle of the magnetic flap level gauge UHC-517C is based on the principle of buoyancy and magnetic coupling effect. The float rises or sinks with the change of liquid level, and the magnet on the float will flip the magnetic flap on the magnetic flap indicator, thereby displaying the height of the liquid level on the external indicator panel.

The flip plate indicator of the liquid level gauge UHC-517C consists of a series of magnetic flip plates, each of which can be flipped in the middle position. These flippers are connected to the magnets on the float through magnetic coupling. When the float moves, it will flip the corresponding flipping plate through magnetic force. When the liquid level rises, the float will also rise. Under the action of magnetic force, the magnet on the float will flip the flipping plate indicator, causing the flipping plate to change from red (or white) to green (or black), indicating the height of the liquid level. On the contrary, when the liquid level drops, the float drops, the magnetic force disappears, and the flipping plate flips back to its original position, indicating a decrease in the liquid level.

Operators can read the height of the liquid level through the scale or mark on the magnetic flip plate indicator. Usually, there will be clear scale lines on the indicator, which can directly read the liquid level percentage or absolute height.

If the liquid level gauge UHC-517C is equipped with remote sensors or liquid level switches, they can convert liquid level information into electrical signals, such as 4-20mA analog signals, for remote monitoring and control. Liquid level switches can also be used to achieve upper and lower level alarm and control functions.
